Why Film Connection is Better

Considering film school? You have two options: 1) Go to a traditional film school at a cost of $30,000 to $120,000 and sit in a classroom with a bunch of other out-of-work students; or 2) Go to The Film Connection Film Institute, your film school alternative, and learn the common sense way--one-on-one training from an industry professional on real film sets or in real film studios.

There's an old saying, "it's not what you know, it's who you know." In the film industry, nothing could be closer to the truth. Traditional film schools don't get you connections. As our name implies, The Film Connection Film Institute, was designed from the ground up to do two things simultaneously:  1) get you trained.  2) get you connected.  Upon completion of our six month program you will have solved the Catch 22 of how do you get a job without experience when you can't get that experience without having a job, and acquired up to 75 real-world film industry connections.

Does The Film Connection Program Work?

Will Our Film School Get You A Job in Film?  More

Each month, we ask our film school alternative students to provide us with feedback on how they are doing and what they've been up to.    The one thing all of our film students seem to have in common, besides a passion for breaking into the film industry, is that every day that goes by, the more convinced they are about the value of The Film Connection.  You see each day they attend The Film Connection, the more they reailize they are that much closer to a career in film.  Colleen Rowley, is just one such student, who is being mentored in her home town of Portland, Oregon.  Click here for her story and others
